Howdy and welcome to our website. Slickfork Ranch is located approx. 1 hour N. of Regina, Saskatchewan, SE of Raymore. Our "For Sale" stock ranges from weanlings to broodmares and everything in between.
Our genetic backgrounds have the ability to produce champions & legends. Our total herd averages 20 head but we strive for quality not quantity. Our program is geared toward preserving that old style true foundation working Quarter Horse (less than 17% Thoroughbred blood).
They are versatile with good bone & feet, tons of sense, rocket speed & classy style. Our main objective is to preserve the foundation quarter horse & the bloodlines of Jackie Bee, Driftwood, Bill Cody (all 100%) & Cutter Bill 94%. Our other favorites are Grey Badger II, Pacific Bailey, King, & Bert but there are many more out there. A lot of our stock carrys heavy lines of Pretty Boy, Joe Hancock, Yellow Wolf, Hancock, Peter McCue and trace back to the great originals of Steel Dust & Shilo. Their genetic influence on todays Quarter Horse is amazing. We have just introduced a heavy line of Blue Valentine by Red Man into our herd and are excited with where that will take us.
Our mares are athletic & powerful, have great minds & huge hearts. Our stallions have wonderful temperments & a huge work ethic. Most of our stock is double registered with AQHA & the National Foundation Quarter Horse Association (NFQHA). We hope you see something that "!blows your hat off!".
